Covid-19 protocol
XXXVII SELL Student Games will be held in accordance with the Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia No. 662 (Epidemiological Safety Measures for the Containment of the Spread of COVID-19 Infection), as well as Covid-19 rules developed by the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and international sports federations.
The head of the delegation, who has registered the university for participation in the SELL Student Games, is responsible for the observance of the Covid-19 regulations in the delegation, confirming this fact with a signature at the accreditation center. By signing the SELL Student Games Regulations, the head of the delegation assumes responsibility for informing the participants about the Covid-19 regulations at the SELL Student Games. In particular, the Head of Delegation confirms that none of the team members have been in contact with Covid-19 in the last 10 days and that there are no signs of illness.
To ensure a more epidemiologically safe environment at the SELL Student Games, participants are encouraged to keep a distance of 2m from those around them and the use of face masks is recommended.
In case a participant or official person is diagnosed with Covid-19, the head of the delegation must be informed immediately, and is obliged to make this information available to the organizers of the competition. People infected with Covid-19 should be self-contained and follow the instructions of medical staff.
The organizers of the competition and the SELL Student Games Organizing Committee have the right to disqualify a participant or team if:
• the person has provided false information about his / her health condition and, ignoring the symptoms of Covid-19, has continued to participate in the competition or visit the competition venues;
• the person has undergone a PCR or Antigen test which has shown a positive result but has continued to take part in the competition or visited the competition venues;
• the person is deliberately taking risks to infect themselves and others with Covid-19 infection;
• A person infected with Covid-19 refuses to take the necessary safety precautions to endanger their health.
